Over $50,000 in cash, jewelry stolen from Cleveland home (photos)

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Thieves made off with $20,000 in cash and about $32,000 in jewelry from a home on the East Side, police say.

Detectives are now searching for suspects seen in surveillance video and photos at the front of the home on the 1800 block of East 33rd Street, located just north of Chester Avenue.

The theft occurred on Aug. 25, according to police. The residents of the house left the home at about 11:45 a.m. and returned at 3 p.m. to find several items were missing.

The suspects are two males who were wearing dark clothing and a female who was seen looking at the house before the males arrived, police say. Both males were wearing bags on their shoulders.
