Burlington Stores: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot
BURLINGTON, N.J. (AP) _ Burlington Stores Inc. (BURL) on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $76.8 million.
On a per-share basis, the Burlington, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of $1.12. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.21 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.06 per share.
The discount retailer posted revenue of $1.64 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $1.63 billion, also exceeding Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.6 billion.
For the current quarter ending in January, Burlington Stores expects its per-share earnings to range from $2.71 to $2.75.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $6.33 to $6.37 per share.
Burlington Stores shares have increased 21 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 45 percent in the last 12 months.
