DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) _ Narcisse Ewodo scored 26 points Wednesday night to lead Davidson to an 89-58 victory over Lynchburg in its home opener.

The Wildcats (2-0) converted 72.7 percent from the floor during the first half, 58.5 percent for the game.

Ewodo made 12 of 17 shots from the field to lead Davidson. Chad Holmes added 18 points, Landry Kosmalski had 14 and Mark Donnelly had 12.

After forcing 15 turnovers with eight steals, Davidson took a 53-23 lead into a similar second half.

An eight-point Wildcat spurt moved the advantage to 61-23 on two Donnelly free throws with 17:12 left in the game.

Lynchburg (2-2) pulled no closer than the final margin from there, as Otis Tucker scored 13 points, Scott Christian 12 and Chris Whelan chipped in 10 for the Hornets.
