Seating jury for Boston bomb panel not easy for judge
BOSTON (AP) — More prospective jurors have been questioned in the federal death penalty trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Among the people questioned Friday was a woman whose husband is a Massachusetts state trooper. The woman told Judge George O’Toole Jr. that she could not be impartial.
Tsarnaev is accused in the 2013 marathon bombing, which killed three people and injured more than 260. He is also accused of killing an MIT police officer days after the bombing.
Another prospective juror said he believes Tsarnaev is guilty and still feels angry over the bombing.
The judge questioned 20 prospective jurors Thursday. Another 17 are expected to be questioned Friday.
