May leads Johnson Central to Sweet 16

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Johnson Central edged Pikeville, 66-61, Saturday in the Kentucky 15th Region boys basketball finals at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center.

Johnson Central (26-7) moves into the Kentucky Sweet 16 to play Trinity (Louisville) at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rupp Arena in Lexington. Pikeville finished with a 23-8 record.

Isaiah May led the Golden Eagles with 19 points and eight rebounds. Jacob Rice had 15 points and eight assists. Kyle Watkins scored 21 for Pikeville.
