At least 31 killed in Iraq bombings
BAGHDAD (AP) — At least 31 people have been killed in a series of bombings today around the Iraqi capital.
The deadliest attack was carried out with a bomb hidden on a motorcycle in a secondhand market. Officials say that blast killed at least 22 people and wounded 45.
Two other bombs targeted minibuses carrying workers home at the end of the workday.
The attacks bore the hallmarks of Sunni insurgents who use car bombs and suicide attacks to try to undermine confidence in the Shiite-led government.
