Havasu woman arrested on drug paraphernalia, failure-to-comply charges

A woman with a hypodermic needle hidden inside her bra was arrested on misdemeanor drug charges on Feb. 13, according to Lake Havasu City Police.

According to a police report, Kimberly Elizabeth Petersen, 26, of Havasu, was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of Smoketree Boulevard and Mesquite Avenue.

Officers found she had a warrant for her arrest. While she was being arrested, she told officers she had a needled in her bra. She safely removed it, and a search of her vehicle and belongings revealed two more needles. A test showed the needles contained methamphetamine, police said. She was booked into Lake Havasu City jail on misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia possession and the failure-to-comply warrant.
