Hotwire Grows Consumer Practice with New Client Wins and Expanded Team
SAN FRANCISCO & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 15, 2018--Hotwire, the global communications agency, today announced new additions to the firm’s North American consumer portfolio with several new clients looking to disrupt the consumer market.
One of the newest consumer brands to join Hotwire’s portfolio is robotics pioneer Anki who tapped the company to launch their latest robot in North America and educate the market that Anki is leading the way in how people will interact with robots in the home.
Also added to Hotwire’s consumer portfolio is personal care appliances brand Clio, which appointed Hotwire to promote their new sexual wellness range PlusOne as it goes on sale in mass retailers across the U.S. Smart lighting provider Sengled is another new client who is working with Hotwire to reposition the brand in the evolving U.S. market and to launch new lighting and electronics products in North America.
New team members joining the consumer team include Christine Reilly, Senior Director, who relocated to New York from Hotwire’s London office to support the growth and expansion of Hotwire’s consumer practice in North America. Reilly joins with a range of experience in consumer industries, from beauty to security to personal finance to tech.
Adding to the momentum, Hotwire recently released research around the consumer of tomorrow and how technology is impacting kids born after 2010, also known as Generation Alpha, and what this means for marketers. Hotwire’s “Parents of Generation Alpha” report was launched on-stage at the recent ANA Masters of Marketing event and Hotwire’s consumer team will now be taking the findings on the road with events in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Minneapolis.
“We’re excited about the recent momentum behind our consumer team leading into 2019,” said Laura Macdonald, SVP, Head of Consumer North America at Hotwire. “Our new clients, research, non-profit work and growing team allows us to continue our expansion into even more consumer sectors, establishing Hotwire’s reputation not only as a leading technology integrated communications agency but a leading integrated communications agency full stop.”
Macdonald recently became an Advisory Council member at Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), a nonprofit organization founded by Glenn Close dedicated to encouraging dialogue about mental health, and to raising awareness, understanding, and empathy. Macdonald will help support this mission and develop BC2M’s communications strategy for the future at both a national and grassroots level to boost awareness of their programs.
