ST. LOUIS (AP) _ The uncertainty over St. Louis Blues center Pierre Turgeon's future appears to be over.

The team has informed Turgeon that the Blues would give the restricted free agent a qualifying offer to retain his rights.

Turgeon, 29, would have been an unrestricted free agent July 1 if the Blues had not tendered the qualifying offer. That gives them the right to match any offer in the unlikely event he got one as a restricted free agent.

Turgeon led the Blues in playoff scoring with four goals and 13 points and has scored at least 20 goals in 11 consecutive seasons.
