LOS ANGELES (AP) — A woman charged with killing three members of a Los Angeles family at their home has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Investigators say a man checking on his relatives May 24 found his father, grandmother and her husband dead with head injuries.

Detectives interviewed Nancy Amelia Jackson as a person of interest and later arrested her on suspicion of murder.

The district attorney's office says the 56-year-old entered her plea on Monday.

The victims were identified as 65-year-old Phillip White, his mother, 82-year-old Orsie Carter, and her husband, 83-year-old William Carter.

Officials say Jackson was an acquaintance of White who had been staying at the home in Leimert Park but had been asked to leave.
