Louisville 97, Premier All-Stars 85

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) _ Nate Johnson scored 12 of his 21 points in the second half and Tony Williams added 17 as Louisville beat the Premier All-Stars 97-85 in an exhibition game Tuesday night.

Louisville led 30-28 with 4:30 remaining in the first half, but Premier scored seven straight points to take a 35-30 lead and led 38-35 at hafltime.

Premier led 56-53 in the second half when a 15-4 run gave the Cardinals a 68-60 lead with 8:18 remaining. Premier closed to 72-70 on a 3-pointer by former Ohio State standout Tom Brandewie but got no closer.

Kelly McClure, who played at Otterbein, led Premier with 17 points while Aaron Madry added 16, Greg Simpson 13, Brandewie 11 and Tony White 10.

Tobiah Hopper added 16 points off the bench and had three rebounds and three assists for Louisville.

Louisville forced Premier into 27 turnovers, 15 of which came in the second half. The Cardinals scored 34 points off Premier miscues.
