BRUNSWICK, Maine (AP) — A bank foundation is donating $450,000 to support job growth and small businesses in rural Maine.

KeyBank Foundation is giving the money over three years to Coastal Enterprises Inc. in Brunswick. A spokesman says the money will support Coastal’s small business lending, advisory services and partnership efforts with local organizations.

CEI plans to provide lending and advisory service to 1,400 upcoming and established small business owners. A spokesman says CEI hopes to create and retain 300 jobs in rural Maine in the next three years. It will also launch a new effort to grow entrepreneurship in rural parts of the state.
