Police identify bicyclist killed in Des Moines hit-and-run
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Des Moines police have released the name of a 56-year-old bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run crash.
Police identified the man as Darrel Ford, who’d been living in the Des Moines area.
The crash happened early Saturday morning. Witnesses told police the bicyclist crossed into an intersection against a red light and was hit by a sport utility vehicle that fled the scene.
No arrest has been reported.
