Bombs Damage Cars Owned by U.S. Servicemen
ATHENS, Greece (AP) _ Two cars owned by U.S. servicemen were damaged early today by bombs, police said. No one was hurt.
A police spokesman said there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bomb attacks in the Kypseli neighorhood of Athens and the suburb of Glyfada.
The spokesman said the cars belonged to Air Force sergeants Joel Brownlee, 46, and Steven Bost, 40, both serving at the U.S. Air Force base at the Athens airport. Hometowns of the two servicemen were not immediately known.
Several other bomb attacks on cars belonging to U.S. servicemen in recent months have been claimed by an extremist group calling itself Wild Geese of the City. No arrests have been made.
