Shooting in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood wounds 1

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police say a person was wounded in the stomach Thursday in a shooting in the Central neighborhood on the East Side.

The shooting occurred on the 2500 block of Jelliffe Street but the victim was found around the corner on the 3700 block of Mt. Hermon, police say.

Police did not release the identity or condition of the victim.

It was the second shooting reported by police on Thursday. A 27-year-old man died of his wounds after being shot at about 6 p.m. outside Glenville Grocery Store on East 105th Street near Ostend Avenue, according to police.

No other details were released.
