Summer Front wins Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Summer Front took the lead in the stretch and drew off to win the $100,000 Cliff Hanger Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday, beating Tune Me In by 1 ¼ lengths.

Ridden by Joe Bravo and trained by Christophe Clement, the win in the Grade III race was the seventh in 13 career starts for the 4-year-old colt, who returned $4, $3.40 and $2.20.

It was the second stakes win of the day for Bravo, who rode Summer Applause to victory in the $75,000 Lady’s Secret Stakes. The 4-year-old filly took the lead around the far turn and beat Royal Lahaina by 1¼ lengths.

Trained by Chad Brown, Summer Applause ran the 1 1/16 miles on a fast track in 1:45 4/5 and paid $3 and $2.10.
