Mrs. Grissom’s Salads Recalls Products

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Mrs. Grissom’s Salads Inc. is recalling several improperly labeled products, the company announced Tuesday.

Vice President Jack McGhee said the labels fail to list egg yolks as an ingredient. People allergic to egg yolks ``run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these sandwich products,″ McGhee said.

The recalled products were distributed in stores in Tennessee, Kentucky and northern Alabama.

The recalled products _ packaged in plastic tubs _ are:

_ 10 3/4-ounce packages of tuna salad with expiration dates of Dec. 12, Dec. 29 and Jan. 5.

_ 11-ounce packages of jalapeno spread or dip with expiration dates of Dec. 29 and Jan. 26.

_ 11-ounce packages of pimento cheese spread with expiration dates of Dec. 21, Dec. 28 and Jan. 5.

_ 10 3/4-ounce packages of Houchens tuna salad with expiration dates of Dec. 12, Dec. 26, and Dec. 28.

_ 11-ounce packages of Houchens pimento cheese with expiration dates of Dec. 14, Dec. 21, Jan. 5, Jan. 12, and Jan. 26.

Customers who bought one of the products may return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. Consumers with questions can call the company at (800) 255-0571.
