Braun leads in early returns in Senate race

Republican challenger Mike Braun has taken an early lead in the race for the Indiana U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democrat Joe Donnelly.

With 18 percent of the precincts reporting, Braun had 292,905 votes, or 57 percent, to 201,297, or 39 percent for Donnelly, and 19,266, or 4 percent, for Libertarian Lucy Brenton.
