COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) _ Robert Ferguson, who set a Texas A&M record with 885 receiving yards last season, decided to skip his senior year and enter the NFL draft Thursday.

``I'm disappointed to see Robert go, but at the same time, I understand he is doing what he feels is best for him and his family.'' coach R.C. Slocum said. ``He's been a great player at Texas A&M and he's made a tremendous impact on our team.''

Ferguson was an All-Big 12 selection in his first season with the Aggies after transferring from Tyler Junior College. He caught 58 passes last season, the third best total in school history.

``This is a difficult decision, but I have to do what is best for me and my family,'' Ferguson said.
