Columbia Sportswear: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Columbia Sportswear Co. (COLM) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $100.2 million.

The Portland, Oregon-based company said it had net income of $1.42 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.41 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.27 per share.

The maker of outdoor gear posted revenue of $795.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $791.3 million.

Columbia Sportswear expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.57 to $3.62 per share.

Columbia Sportswear shares have climbed 22 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $87.70, a climb of 39 percent in the last 12 months.
