Mustangs fall to Lynx in NIAA doubleheader

April 14, 2019

NEEDLES — Mustangs varsity baseball dropped two to Lincoln County’s Lynx, 6-4 and 13-1, in NIAA 2A South League action on Jack Hutcherson Field April 12.

The losses bring their league record to 6-4; 12-4 overall.

Defensive errors seemed to be the Mustangs’ biggest trouble in the two games. “We put our backs against the wall and when we have this many mistakes it doesn’t make it easier,” said Coach Ken Parker.

Up next for the Mustangs is a non-conference game against River Valley on April 17 starting at 1 p.m. for junior varsity and 3 p.m. for varsity on Jack Hutcherson field. Read more details of the April 12 game in Wednesday’s print edition of the Needles Desert Star.
