POLICE SHOOTING-OKLAHOMA CITY

OKLAHOMA CITY _ Two Oklahoma City police officers shot and wounded an armed man who authorities say was wearing a bulletproof vest. Capt. Bo Mathews says 30-year-old Cody Alan Longstreet was shot about 4:30 a.m. Thursday and is expected to recover. Mathews says police tried to pull over a stolen vehicle Longstreet was driving. Longstreet then abandoned the vehicle and ran with a gun in his hand while officers chased him. The shooting happened outside an elementary school that was later closed for the day. SENT: 130 words. COLD CASE-OLD TIP REVISITED

JOPLIN, Mo. _ Investigators are re-examining a tip they received 19 years ago in the case of two abducted Oklahoma teenagers who are presumed dead. The Joplin Globe reports that new questions are being raised after an expert assisting authorities in the case recently found an old newspaper article about an anonymous caller reporting the teens’ bodies were dumped in a mine shaft. 250 words.

_ BOYFRIEND KILLED-APPEAL _ The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals has upheld the life prison sentence of a 40-year-old woman convicted of stabbing her boyfriend to death and running over him with a vehicle.

_ McCONNELL-KC-46 TANKER _ McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita could receive its first KC-46 air refueling tanker later this month, with other similar aircraft slated later for Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
