This year’s three local ThanksGIVEaway winners
Three lucky Columbus residents this week were able to swing by The Telegram and pick up their $100 visa gift cards they won through Lee Enterprises’ annual ThanksGIVEaway event. Lee Enterprises is the parent company of The Telegram and several surrounding area newspapers.
This year’s local prize winners were Frances Steinbrook, Liz Czuba and Debbie Kresha. To be eligible to win, participants simply had to pick up a Thanksgiving edition of the Telegram and follow the contest rules and instructions printed in the newspaper. Participants were able to enter into the GIVEaway drawing from Nov. 22 through Dec. 2, as previously reported by The Telegram.
The contest also gave those participating a chance to win a $5,000 gift card, with that competition spanning across all of Lee Enterprises markets. All entries were submitted into one database, allowing corporate officials to choose a grand prize winner.
This year’s grand prize winner was Jenelle Brosius, a subscriber of the NWI Times in Munster, Indiana. Last year, the big winner was a reader of one of The Telegram’s sister newspapers, the Fremont Tribune.
Regional Publisher Vincent Laboy said that he was excited by the local participation and said he hopes the women benefit from their gift cards.
“I’m excited for all the winners and hope the money helps make their Christmas a bit brighter,” he said.
