TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) _ Dana Drew scored 24 points and Latoya Harris added 18 Wednesday to lead No. 23 Toledo to a record-setting 119-63 victory over Akron.
The Rockets (18-1, 11-0 Mid-American Conference) won their 15th straight game, breaking the school record of 14 set in 1991-92. The 119 points broke the school record set March 4, 1992, in a 114-63 victory over Ball State.
Megan Koster’s jumper pulled Akron (4-15, 2-9) within 7-4 with 17:49 left in the first half. Toledo went on a 21-3 run capped by Drew’s layup with 11:26 remaining in the half and the game was out of reach.
Dana Creighton added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Rockets while Mimi Olson had 12 points and Kathy Lennartz 11.
Koster had 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Zips, while Beth Holmes added 12 points and Michelle Chavanne 10.
