Police: Teen stabs student at Florida school bus stop

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Police in Florida say a 15-year-old girl stabbed a 16-year-old girl during an argument at a school bus stop.

St. Petersburg police said in a news release that the teens were involved in an ongoing dispute Thursday morning and their fight escalated as the school bus approached. The younger teen stabbed the older girl and ran onto the bus.

Police say the older teen was taken into custody. The injured teen was taken to a hospital with a serious injury. Police say she’s current in stable condition.

The bus was taking students to Gibbs High School. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and reviewing video. There were 25 to 30 students on the bus at the time.
