LYMAN, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine say two cars collided in Lyman, killing a man and injuring a woman.

State police say the crash happened on Monday afternoon in the York County town. They say 29-year-old Alexander Mcinnis of Hollis crossed into the northbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Rachel Thurston of Lovell.

Mcinnis died at the scene and Thurston was transported to Maine Medical Center for injuries that were not life threatening.

Police say they are still in the midst of their investigation. They do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
