GRAND ISLAND — Services for Robert W. “Bob” Streeter, 76, Grand Island, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Cathryn Love will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to service on Friday.
He died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at CHI St. Francis Medical Center.
Bob was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Norfolk, the son of Bill and Hazel (Leu) Streeter. He grew up in Norfolk and Battle Creek.
On Sept. 27, 1963, Bob was united in marriage to Judy Ann Coughtry in Norfolk. The couple resided in Battle Creek, Norfolk and Newman Grove, Glasgow, Mont., and Fredericksburg, Texas. They moved to Grand Island in 1990, where they remained. He was employed as a truck driver, forklift operator, farm laborer and janitor. They had been married 51 years when Judy died in 2015.
Bob enjoyed watching NASCAR, bird watching, attending drag races, driving Mopars and collecting aluminum cans.
Survivors include daughters Robyn Streeter (Terry Wilbur) of Grand Island, Jackie (Alonso) Castillo of Fredericksburg, Texas, Holly Barrientes of Johnson City, Texas, and Roschel (Gayle) Sellin of Plainview; a son, Robert L. (Andrea) Streeter of Kearney; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry Streeter of Scottsbluff; his sisters, Linda Paulsen and Aurel Bernhardt, both of Norfolk, Mary Weldon of Fremont; and his cat, Bingo.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Judy; a brother, Lee Streeter; a sister, Janice Logg; a son-in-law, Richard Barrientes; and an infant daughter.
