MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont agency that regulates the financial industry in the state will launch a new website after the discovery of a security vulnerability.
Last week the Department of Financial Regulation took one of its public websites offline after experts discovered the vulnerability.
The department says no confidential or personally identifiable information was placed at risk by the vulnerability, which was not described publicly.
On Monday, the department said it was accelerating a plan to move to the new website.
