Cubs, Angels Make Five-Player Trade
CHICAGO (AP) _ The Anaheim Angels traded right-hander Brett Hinchcliffe and infielder Keith Luuloa, a pair of former big-leaguers, to the Chicago Cubs on Friday for three minor leaguers.
The Angels receive outfielder Chris Hatcher, right-hander Mike Heathcott and infielder Brett King, all on the Iowa roster of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League.
Luuloa, 25, hit .244 with eight homers and 44 RBIs in 76 games for Edmonton of the PCL. He also played in six games for the Angels and had six hits in 18 at-bats.
Hinchcliffe, 26, appeared in 27 games for Edmonton, three of them starts, and went 2-3 with two saves and a 3.80 ERA. He also appeared in two games for the Angels with no record.
Hatcher, 31, hit .278 with 24 homers and 71 RBIs in 86 games; Heathcott, 31, was 5-3 with two saves and a 5.62 ERA in 38 games, and King, 28, hit .171 in 18 games at Iowa and .143 in 48 games at Double-A West Tenn of the Southern League.
