Little To Impersonate Presidents

August 30, 2000

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Rich Little is doing his own hail to the chief.

The impersonator will tackle eight presidents in a two-act theatrical journey through 40 years of Oval Office history.

``The Presidents,″ opening Sept. 23 in Nyack, N.Y., was written by Ron Nessen, press secretary to President Ford, and Loren Paul Caplin.

``Gerald Ford was kind of tough. He’s kind of bland and not very distinctive,″ said Little, 61. ``I would say Gerald and George Bush are the hardest. Clinton is great. He’s got that continual frog in his throat.″

But President Reagan will always be his favorite: ``I just love the man.″
