DENVER (AP) _ Taylor Twellman had a goal and an assist as the New England Revolution ended a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night.

The goal was Twellman’s 10th in 10 starts for New England (4-7-1). Brian Kamler got the game-winner in the second half for the Revolution.

Chris Carrieri scored the goal for Colorado (6-5-1), which lost its second straight.

Twellman’s goal came in the 23rd minute when he maneuvered past Colorado’s Robin Fraser and sent a shot past goalkeeper Scott Garlick.

Twellman nearly made it 2-0 in the waning seconds of the half when his shot missed by inches.

Twellman set up Kamler’s goal with a give-and-go in the 57th minute. Kamler weaved between three defenders to beat Garlick. Carrieri converted a pass from Mark Chung in the 82nd minute to get the Rapids within 2-1.
