BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) _ Vermont junior T.J. Sorrentine, the America East Conference's player of the year last season, will be out at least three weeks after injuring both wrists.

The 5-foot-11 point guard broke a bone in each wrist last Friday in a collision during an intrasquad scrimmage. He fractured his schaphoid bone, one directly below the thumb, in his right wrist. In a less serious injury, he broke his triquetrium, a small bone in his left wrist. Both wrists were set in hard casts by Dr. Michel Benoit and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

The Catamounts open the regular season on Nov. 22, against Eastern Michigan at the Pepsi Marist Classic.
