Bruins Re-Sign Kultanen, Eloranta
BOSTON (AP) _ The Boston Bruins have re-signed defenseman Jarno Kultanen and forward Mikko Eloranta.
Kultanen agreed to a two-year contract and Eloranta to a one-year deal. The team did not disclose terms of the contracts.
Eloranta, 29, was Boston’s ninth pick, 247th overall, in the 1999 draft. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Turku, Finland, had an NHL career-high 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points in 62 games last season.
Kultanen, 28, was Boston’s eighth pick, 174th overall, in the 2000 NHL draft. The 6-2, 198-pound native of Luumaki, Finland, had two goals and eight assists for 10 points in 62 games last season.
