Bethune-Cookman 63, Md.-E. Shore 55
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Jaime Grant and Alistair Henry combined for 24 points in the second half as Bethune-Cookman overcame a 10-point halftime deficit and beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 63-55 Monday night.
Henry scored 9 points in the first 5:57 of the second half and Grant hit all his 15 within the first 11:04 of the period. Grant also finished with six assists, while Henry had 13 points total.
The Hawks (10-15, 5-10 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) were led by Aaron McKinney’s 14 points. Lawrence Garrison added 11 points and William Wright chipped in 10.
Bethune-Cookman center Tyronn White kept the Wildcats (10-14, 7-8) in the game in the first half, scoring 9 of his game-high 17 points. White also pulled down 10 boards.
Maryland-Eastern Shore led 34-24 at halftime, but Bethune-Cookman opened with a 16-6 run to tie the game at 40-40. The Wildcats then went ahead 52-50 on a pair of free throws from Grant with 4:35 to play, their first lead since a 7-4 advantage 3:35 into the contest.
