CLEVELAND (AP) — The Indians will play for their 18th straight victory tonight against the Orioles in Cleveland. Right-hander Trevor Bauer takes the mound for the Indians, looking to extend his career-long winning streak to nine games in a matchup against Jeremy Hellickson.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers will try tonight to avoid losing their 10th in a row for the first time in 25 years. Rich Hill takes the mound for Los Angeles in the series finale against Tyler Chatwood and the Colorado Rockies. The NL West-leading Dodgers have one win in their last 15 games.

NEW YORK (AP) — Rafael Nadal meets Kevin Anderson today in the men’s final at the U.S Open. The top-seeded Nadal is looking for his 16th Grand Slam title, while Kevin Anderson is in search of his first. At No. 32, the South African is the lowest-ranked U.S. Open finalist since the ATP began using computer rankings in 1973.

CHIBA, Japan (AP) — Colin Montgomerie has won the Japan Airlines Championship, the first PGA Tour Champions event in Japan. The 54-year-old Scot finished at 14-under 202 and earned $400,000 for his fifth victory on the 50-and-over tour.
