Former Seton Hill player Sleek named assistant baseball coach at Thiel

Seton Hill graduate Austin Sleek was named assistant baseball coach at Thiel.

Sleek, a 2016 graduate, served previously as a graduate assistant at Bethany College for two seasons. He managed the pitching staff and served as the program’s recruiting coordinator.

He was part of the most winningest teams in Griffins history. Sleek and the Griffins appeared in four straight (2013-2016) NCAA Division II Regionals, totaling 166 wins over the four-year stretch. Seton Hill appeared in the NCAA Division II World Series in 2014.

Sleek served as a relief pitcher for the Griffins, as he made 45 career appearances for 651/3 innings with an ERA of 3.72.

Sleek served as an assistant baseball coach for the Glen Falls Dragons in the Perfect Collegiate Baseball League for the past two summers. He also was an instructor at ERA Sports, Inc. in Latrobe where he instructed pitching and defense lessons for players from ages 7-18.
