Blue jean company leader addressing Delta State graduates
CLEVELAND, Miss. (AP) — The founder of a custom-made blue jean company is addressing Delta State University graduates.
Josh West is co-founder and CEO and Blue Delta Jean Co. and a 2005 Delta State graduate. He is delivering the keynote address during two ceremonies Friday at the Bologna Performing Arts Center in Cleveland.
West founded Blue Delta Jean in 2011, focusing on making custom pants from raw denim made in the United States.
The university is presenting diplomas to almost 500 students.
It is also presenting an honorary degree to Ned Mitchell. The 1962 graduate has long been active in helping raise money for Delta State, and was one of two leaders of a fundraising drive that collected more than $40 million for the university earlier this decade.
