Popular brunch spot Snooze: An A.M. Eatery to open location in The Woodlands

October 12, 2018

Houston’s favorite brunch spot will soon open its doors in The Woodlands — Snooze: An AM Eatery is opening its seventh Houston-area location ar 2415 Research Forest Drive in the summer of 2019.

The Denver-based brunch spot opened its first Houston-area location in Montrose in June of 2016 and its expansion has exploded — in the two years since, the chains has opened locations in Katy, Memorial and the Heights, and future locations in the Galleria and Webster are in development, so a move north seemed like the natural next step, said their public relations representative, Becky Fairchild.

“We’ve gotten a really warm welcome in Houston so far and it’s such a great area that heading a little bit north was easier for some of our guests,” Fairchild said.

At more than 4,000 square feet, The Woodlands restaurant would be one of the biggest in the region.

Snooze’s menu blends traditional breakfast staples — think eggs, bacon and sausage — with original items like corned beef hash, several different kinds of eggs Benedict and regional delicacies like shrimp and grits, breakfast tacos and huevos rancheros.

Though the restaurant will feature classic Snooze characteristics like a patio and garage doors, it’ll be up to the community and the “Snoozers,” as their employees are called, to make it their own.

The restaurant prides itself in its community service, Fairchild said. One percent of sales from each Snooze are donated back to the community in-kind — be it with free pancakes at a charity event or reducing waste at each of its locations.

Construction on the site began Tuesday, Fairchild said, so the restaurant is still in the very early stages, but the popular brunch spot is well on its way to the Township.

“The Woodlands is a little different than any of the areas we’re in now,” Fairchild said. “It’s a good neighborhood that deserves a Snooze.”
