EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A Snohomish County judge has agreed to a settlement with the Washington Attorney General's Office on allegations that she broke the law by failing to report an in-kind contribution before the primary election in 2016.

The Daily Herald reports Superior Court Judge Cindy Larsen will pay a $2,000 fine in an agreement reached last month and approved by a visiting judge earlier this month.

The state Attorney General filed the civil complaint against Larsen for failing to disclose that the political action committee A Safer Snohomish County spent nearly $54,000 on a mailing sent to voters. The complaint stated that Larsen should have claimed it because the mailer benefited her.

Larsen says she's thankful that this issue has been resolved, and she has learned from her mistakes during the campaign.
