Hidden Assets Wins $100G Handicap

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Hidden Assets took the lead from the outside to beat Another in the Grade 3 $100,000 Shirley Jones Handicap for fillies and mares at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday.

Dream Supreme was third in a field of six.

Ridden by Jerry Bailey, Hidden Assets ran seven furlongs in 1:22 2-5 and paid $8.80, $5.60 and $2.10, while Another paid $8.00 and $2.10. Dream Supreme, making her first start since the Breeders’ Cup Sprint on Nov. 4, was the 1-2 favorite.

Hidden Assets had been beaten by 10 and 20 3/4 lengths in her last two stakes races, stopping cold both times.

Hidden Assets is a 4-year-old Kentucky-bred daughter of Mt. Livermore, owned by Elaine Bertram and Richard Klein. She has won five of eight starts and $159,208.
