HMS Holdings: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
IRVING, Texas (AP) _ HMS Holdings Corp. (HMSY) on Friday reported second-quarter net income of $29.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Irving, Texas-based company said it had profit of 33 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 34 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 26 cents per share.
The benefits coordinator and billing auditor for government health care programs posted revenue of $168.2 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $159.4 million.
HMS Holdings expects full-year revenue in the range of $650 million to $660 million.
HMS Holdings shares have increased 25% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 45% in the last 12 months.
