Coyotes Sign Left Wing Cleary

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) _ The Phoenix Coyotes signed free agent forward Daniel Cleary to a multiyear deal on Tuesday.

Cleary, a left wing, played 57 games with the Edmonton Oilers last season, scoring four goals and 13 assists. He was drafted in the first round in 1997 by the Chicago Blackhawks.

``We’re very pleased to add a player like Daniel Cleary to our exciting, young team,″ assistant general manager Laurence Gilman said.
