W-B Police Investigating Stabbing
Wilkes-Barre police are investigating a stabbing reported on North Main Street on Thursday. Police were dispatched to 477 N. Main St. shortly before noon to a report of a stabbing. One patient was rushed to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, and police took another person into custody. Police Chief Joseph Coffay described it as a “domestic situation.” Two men got into a fight and one of them was stabbed, he said. The victim was continuing to be treated at the hospital and the suspect was being questioned at police headquarters, he said. Their names were not immediately available. Coffay said it was too soon to know what, if any, charges would be filed.
