Mary K. Sheridan

Mary Katherine Sheridan, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, with family at her side.

Mary was born in Burlington to Calvin and Margaret Shult (nee Splechter). She spent most of her life in Oconomowoc. She married Robert A. Hughlett on July 18, 1955, and graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1956.

After Robert’s death in 1963, Mary met and married James E. Sheridan in 1965, and they remained together until James’ death in 2008.

Mary spent a majority of her career selling and managing real estate for Shorewest Realtors (formerly known as Wauwatosa Realty). After retirement, she found joy as the director for the Oconomowoc Area Senior Center.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husbands Robert A. Hughlett and James E. Sheridan, her parents Cal and Margaret Shult, her brother Robert (Becky) Shult and nephew Greg Shult.

She is survived by her daughters Barb (Carmen) Ziemer, Joan (Michael) Kullmann and Kathy Sheridan; her grandchildren Anna Quintana, Jennifer (Tony) Krause, Erin (Evan) White, Andy Spransy, Trisha Spransy, Robert Spransy, Thom (Arielle) Provost, George Spransy, Abby (Kyle) Bohman, Lorenzo Qualls and Noah Marrero; 15 great-grandchildren and more on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; her lifelong friend and partner in crime, Sharon Karenz; her friend of 65 years, Helenanne Meyer; her card playing buddy, Ron Braydon; her special TOPS friends; and numerous other family and friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Raftery and the entire staff of ProHealth Cancer Center and Rainbow Hospice.

Visitation will be from 3-4:30 p.m., followed by Mass and dinner, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Holy Name of Jesus Church, located at N557 Main St., Ashippun. (Note the service will be held inside Zion Lutheran Church.) Father David Verhasselt will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Name of Jesus Church would be appreciated.
