SPORTS BETTING-NJ

The only operating horse racing track in New Jersey that does not yet have sports betting plans to offer it at some point next year. Freehold Raceway says it has a sports betting license from the state Racing Commission and is looking for a vendor to run a sports book. By Wayne Parry.

AROUND THE STATE:

_ HOBOKEN WATERFRONT DISPUTE _ Hudson County officials have written a letter to Gov. Phil Murphy urging him to oppose a plan to move a ferry refueling depot to a spot on the Hoboken waterfront where a public park has been envisioned.

_ HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING-HAZING ARRESTS _ Four New Jersey high school students have been arrested in connection with a hazing incident involving the school wrestling team.

_ DRUG RING BUST _ An eight-month investigation in Newark has yielded several arrests in what authorities are calling a major drug ring.

_ POLICE OFFICER-FATAL ACCIDENT _ A judge has sentenced a former New Jersey police officer to 9 ½ years in prison for leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
