Tax Affair Wins at Aqueduct

NEW YORK (AP) _ Tax Affair, ridden by Joe Bravo, won Aqueduct’s $50,000 allowance feature by 2 1/2 lengths Wednesday over Anthenian’s Legacy.

Gowestforgold was another 2 3/4 lengths back in the race for older fillies and mares.

The winner carried co-highweight of 123 pounds over 1 mile, 70 yards in 1:44.3 to earn $30,000 for Richard Englander. The win was the second in four starts this year for the 4-year-old filly by Colonial Affair from the Seattle Slew mare Pech Di Roma.

Tax Affair returned $5.50, $2.70 and $2.40. Anthenian’s Legacy paid $2.70 and $2.60 and Gowestforgold was $4.40 to show.
