BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) _ Unseeded Mariano Puerta of Argentina outdueled Spain's Felix Mantilla 7-6 (1), 6-3 Friday to reach the semifinals of the $350,000 Cerveza Club Colombia tennis tournament.

Puerta will play the winner of Saturday's match between top-seeded Gustavo Kuerten of Brazil and Germany's Markus Hantschk.

Meanwhile, second-seeded Younes El Aynaoui of Morocco advanced to the semifinals with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Spain's Alberto Portas.

Aynaoui's semifinal opponent will be fourth-seeded Fernando Vicente of Spain, who breezed by Arnauld Di Pasquale of France 6-2, 6-1.

Heavy rains and hailstorms in Bogota this week have wreaked havoc with the schedule and caused lengthy delays in several matches.
