Frieda Sohl, 102, Beatrice, Nebraska, was called to God’s Kingdom, Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Beatrice Good Samaritan Society. She was born March 28, 1916, on a farm north of Herkimer, Kansas, to Ernest and Emma (Dierking) Bluhm. She married Alvin “Pete” Sohl on Jan. 1, 1944. The last 15 years she spent at Samaritan Springs and Good Samaritan, where she was cared for by a loving and caring staff. Frieda was a gifted seamstress and loved to read especially her bible.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emma Bluhm; her husband, of nearly 52 years Alvin on Oct. 20, 1995; brother, Gilbert Bluhm.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Florence Bluhm of Beatrice; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Pastor Tim Brisbois officiating. A family prayer service will be held 10:15 a.m. in the church basement. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Bremen, Kan.
