Death notices

Junior Matern, 69, of Herscher, passed away Wednesday (Aug. 29, 2018) at his home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee.

Jacob N. Westerhoff, 41, of St. Anne passed away Tuesday (Aug. 28, 2018) at his home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Schreffler Funeral Homes, Kankakee Chapel.

Past services

Funeral services for Judith A. Cluver, 78, of Watseka, were held Aug. 25 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka, with the Rev. Karl Gibbs officiating. She passed away Aug. 17, 2018. Burial was in Prairie Dell Cemetery, Iroquois. Pallbearers were Dana and David Razzano, Aaron and Kyle Cluver, Tod Fletcher and Randie Orr.

Services for Douglas A. Conerton, 55, of Bourbonnais, were held Aug. 24 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. He passed away Aug. 20, 2018. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Funeral services for Donald B. Duby, 99, of St. Anne, were held Aug. 27 at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home in St. Anne, with the Rev. Mike Seed officiating. He passed away Aug. 23, 2018. Interment was in St. Anne Township Cemetery, St. Anne. Pallbearers were Dan, Darrel, Mark, Scott and Brett Duby and Aaron Coppotelli. Honorary pallbearers were Trevor, Gary and Danny Duby.

Funeral services for Mason Knorr, 24, of Clifton, were held Aug. 27 at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton, with the Rev. Vern Arseneau officiating. He passed away Aug. 23, 2018. Burial was in Clifton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lane, Austin and Kenton Knorr, Jason, Justin and Jordan Marques, and Brandon and Kyle Meyer. Honorary pallbearers were Bailey Ogrentz, Ryan Smolkovich, Marshall Meyer, Kodie Wlos, Kyle Gaddis, Aaron Napoleon, A.J. Ireland, Jason Janssen, Jared Reilly and Luke Johnson.

Funeral services for Bernie Varboncouer, 80, of Beaverville, were held Aug. 25 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Beaverville, with the Rev. Dan Belanger officiating. He passed away Aug. 20, 2018. Interment was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaverville. Pallbearers were Bob, Eric and Mark Varboncouer, Gary Duby and Rodney and Frank Lambert.
