Lehigh 31, Brown 24
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Jason Mastropierro ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns as Lehigh ended a four-game losing streak with a 31-24 victory over Brown on Saturday.
A pair of late touchdowns made the difference as Lehigh (2-4) rallied after falling behind in the third quarter.
Early in the second quarter, Mastropierro went a yard to cap an 11-play, 65-yard drive which gave Lehigh a 10-7 lead.
The Engineers stretched the lead to 17-10 on Scott Semptimphelter’s 16-yard TD pass to Jason Cristino with 31 seconds left in the half.
Semptimphelter completed 19 of 29 passes for 242 yards.
The Bears (0-5) built a 24-17 lead on touchdown runs of 5 and 2 yards by Brett Brown.
Dave DiDomizio’s 4-yard run tied it 24-24 with 13:44 to go and, after the Bears gave the ball up on downs, Mastropierro capped a 47-yard drive with a 1- yard run with seven minutes to play.
